Base massage
At Base Community, we are happy to help you with all aspects of a healthy life. Relaxation and recovery are part of that too.
The aim of the massage is always to contribute to recovery, pain relief, and relaxation. Various massage techniques can be applied during a treatment; we do this to give every area of the body the right pressure, touch, and attention. During the massage, it is therefore important to check in with each other about how the massage is progressing. How is your breathing? Are you able to relax? These are some of the important points of attention.
Jeroen is the masseur at Base Community. Fill out the contact form if you have more questions or are interested.
Custom massage
Tailored massage means that we discuss your discomforts and wishes beforehand. Every body and person deserves personal attention, as complaints can vary from day to day. This is taken into account during the massage!
Deep Tissue Massage
During this massage, the deeper muscle layers are targeted in a gentle manner, while simultaneously applying significant pressure. This ensures that painful areas are addressed carefully and effectively. This massage technique releases muscle adhesions, resulting in less pain and more fluid movement. A deep tissue massage also lowers blood pressure, heart rate, and stress hormones, making relaxation after the massage easier!
Relaxation massage
If you enjoy gentle touches, a relaxation massage is highly suitable. Through strokes and light kneading, a sense of relaxation and well-being is created, leading to stress reduction. Blood circulation also improves. The relaxation massage helps you unwind completely and can simultaneously alleviate minor pain.
Sports massage
This massage is aimed at improving blood circulation, flexibility, and range of motion. If you exercise frequently, good blood circulation is essential. This shortens recovery time after a workout, prevents injuries, and improves muscle efficiency. It is recommended to book the massage while training for a major event. Booking a sports massage just before and after the event is also valuable, as it optimizes performance, prevents injuries, and shortens your body's recovery time.
If you schedule a sports massage at Base Community after your workout, fluids and waste products are quickly drained from the muscles to restore their suppleness. This makes this massage after every training a great addition to your well-being and performance!
Trigger point massage
A trigger point is essentially a muscle knot that can cause pain. During this massage, trigger points are located and significant pressure is applied to a small area using deep-tissue techniques. The trigger point relaxes and melts away, which has a revitalizing effect. This is often accompanied by a sense of ‘flow’; blocked energy is set in motion again.
Connective tissue massage
Connective tissue, also known as fascia (Latin), is an important part of our largest organ: the skin. Subcutaneous connective tissue (subcutis) lies beneath the epidermis and the dermis. This supporting tissue is found throughout our body in various forms and keeps our body in shape, providing firmness and suppleness.
Massaging the connective tissue stimulates blood circulation in the skin. Connective tissue has functions that contribute to our health and beauty, such as wound healing and the removal of waste products. A connective tissue massage contributes to the elasticity, volume, and firmness of the skin.
Neck and shoulder massage
Regular massage can effectively and quickly relieve and prevent neck complaints. All muscles are thoroughly loosened, allowing waste products to be removed from your body. A massage is therefore a long-term solution for neck pain and tension headaches. There is a high probability that the neck pain is caused by your sitting posture, for example at work. As a result, you may suffer from more general muscle and joint complaints, also known as RSI. This can occur in your hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders, for example. A massage can help relieve your symptoms.
Deel massage
There are also complaints that require massaging a specific area for a longer period of time. Therefore, other partial massages are also possible. A partial massage is, for example, a good idea when you suffer from lower back pain, painful or tired legs and/or feet, and tension in the arms. In these cases, specific massages can be given to the following areas:
- Hip, buttock and hamstring massage
- Leg massage
- Arm massage
- Foot massage
- Face, neck and head massage
Laptop massage
Are you actually too busy for a massage, but still feel the need for one? Or does some extra relaxation while working help you be more productive? Then a Laptop Massage is for you. A Laptop Massage is a neck and shoulder massage at your desk. All muscles are thoroughly loosened, allowing toxins to be removed from your body.
